Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
