Trump's Family Member Gets Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf Debut

Young golfer preparing for significant competition

Kai Trump can count on plenty of prominent backers as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, received a special exemption to play at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates multiple courses worldwide and regularly matches against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she stated.

She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa basically suggested to go out there and have fun," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, making him rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions this year and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."

Kai will face multiple top competitors in professional golf at the competition, including world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that her participation brings the sport to new audiences, specifically among younger fans.

The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own apparel and wellness brand.

Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
